The Third Time is certainly a charm! NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day Web page
featured my
Comet Hyakutake and a Starry Night photograph on April 23nd.
They also recently spotlighted my comet photograph Orion, Venus, Hyakutake
& a Pond on April 18th.
My photograph of the Comet over Elmcrest
Observatory was also chosen as Nasa's Astronomy Picture of the Day back
on April 1st. If you missed it,
your can still see it by clicking
HERE! This is a great site... check out
Today's
Picture... or view past photos of the day in their
photo archive arrainged by

subject in the index archive or search
with keywords.
Thanks to the guys at Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD)
which was originated, written, coordinated, and edited in 1995 and 1996 by
Robert
Nemiroff and Jerry Bonnell.
Comet Hyakutake (1996 B2), discovered on January 31, 1996, has far outshined
any expectations... making it
the brightest naked eye comet since Comet West in 1976. Reports of a 72 degree tail,
fragments breaking off the core and other amazing events have made this comet
a huge hit! Not only has it been an easy naked eye object, but a wonderful comet
to photograph as well.
Even
Comet Hyakutake has its own Home Page.
