DayStar Filters terms and conditions:
Since our clients are world wide, it is important when placing an order to follow the ordering guidelines listed below. For the customers located within the United States, please use the domestic ordering guidelines and for clients outside the US, please follow international ordering procedures. We are happy to assist you with any questions.
* Domestic orders: Many professional institutions and amateur astronomers purchase filter assemblies directly from our manufacturing facility. In these cases, we request a 50% deposit with the placement of the order to start fabrication. As the filter nears completion, you will be notified to submit the balance due.
* International orders: prepayment is required for international orders at the time your order is confirmed with us. Fabrication will begin at the time payment is received.
United Parcel Service F.O.B. Warrensburg, Missouri, USA. Each shipment is fully insured for safe arrival.
* International orders: Full payment in US dollars is required with your order. We accept international bank wires. Please email for wire details.

Information requested by the manufacturer: It is important that DayStar engineers understand your imaging system. When placing your order, please provide your telescope's optical and mechanical specifications. Needed are the outside diameter of your telescope, dimensions of your visual and photographic accessories, telescope manufacture or make and focal length. This information will enable us to optimize your filter for your equipment. Simple filter modifications are available if observing equipment changes at a later date.
Delivery Schedule: The customer must keep in mind that each filter system is manufactured one at a time. Demand and specialized filtering requirements may influence delivery of a particular filter system. Once your custom order has been evaluated, you will be advised of the expected delivery date.

GUARANTEE Used as directed, DayStar filters manufactured after 2006 are now guaranteed for ten years. Should the filter become inoperative due to optical or mechanical failure, we will repair the filter or replace it with an equivalent filter at no repair cost to the customer.
WARANTEE ON DAYSTAR FILTERS PRODUCTS:

Elements of Warranty: DayStar warrants, for ten years of the original retail purchase owner, this Product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship with only the limitations or exclusions set out below.
Warranty Duration: This warranty to the original user shall last for ten years of the original user. The warranty is invalid if the Product is (A) damaged or not maintained as detailed in Operating and Maintenance Manual (B) modified, altered, or used as part of any conversion kits, subassemblies, or any configurations not sold by DayStar, or (C) serviced or repaired by someone other than the DayStar Filters Service Center for a defect or malfunction covered by this warranty. This warrantee includes shipping to and from any point inside the United States. Insurance upon
that shipping and/or international shipping and/or any customs and/or import duties attached are the sole responsibility of the owner.
Statement of Remedy: In the event that the product does not conform to this warranty at any time while this warranty is in effect, warrantor will repair the defect and return it to you without charge for parts, service or any cost incurred by the warrantor in connection with the performance of this warranty. THE TEN YEAR WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE IS THE SOLE AND ENTIRE WARRANTY PERTAINING TO THE PRODUCT AND IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER OR PROVIDE
FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OR PAYMENT OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
Procedure for obtaining performance of warranty: Upon discovery of flaw, we require that the user communicate by telephone and/or email to the DayStar Service department to report the failure of equipment. Should technical support be unable to resolve the conflicts of the product, it should be packaged in its original packaging and returned with evidence of original purchase and note describing defect to include owner contact information. The product should be shipped freight pre-paid by traceable means or delivered to warrantor at:
