A rare
Sun Halo appeared around the Sun during an afternoon at
The Texas Star Party.
Created by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, the halo was visible for more than
three hours. A 12.5 inch reflector telescope is in the foreground.
A beautiful Sunset
highlights two cloud decks over the fields of Kansas. This photograph was
shot from my observing deck at Scopeville, Kansas. (It later cleared off for a great night of
observing.)
