(C)2004 Vic & Jen Winter/ ICSTARS Astronomy - These three images were taken with a 4 inch refractor and a Solarin .3 angstrom Hydrogen Alpha filter. The top image was and over-exposed frame taken with a 35mm format camera on Kodak Tech Pan film. The bottom two images were photographed with the same filter using a medium format camera and Tech Pan film. Note not only the apparent "blackdrop" effect, but the glow around the disk of Venus.
